Abstract:

Plastic hinge properties play a crucial role in predicting the nonlinear response of structural elements. The plastic hinge region of reinforced concrete normal beams has been previously studied experimentally and analytically. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the behavior of the plastic hinge region of reinforced concrete deep beams and its comparison with normal beams through finite element simulation. To do so, ten beams contain six deep beams, and four normal beams, under CONCENTRATED and uniformly distributed loading, are investigated. Lengths in the plastic hinge region involving curvature localization, rebar yielding, and concrete crushing zones are studied. The results indicate that the curvature localization zone is not suitable for the prediction of plastic hinge length in reinforced concrete deep beams. Based on the results it can be stated that in simply supported normal beams the concrete crushing zone is focused on the middle span, but in simply supported deep beams by creating a compression strut between loading place and support, the concrete crushing zone spreads along the compression trajectory. The rebar yielding zone of simply supported beams increases as the loading type is changed from the CONCENTRATED load at the middle to the uniformly distributed load.

Abstract:

Blackleg in cattle has been recognized since 1938 in Iran that mostly affects cattle in enzootic farm. Main object of this study was to prepare and formulate a CONCENTRATED potent vaccine for immunization of cattle against blackleg in Iran. Experimental CONCENTRATED blackleg vaccine was prepared according to the method described by FAO. The medium (Modified medium for production of experimental C. chauvoei vaccine by fermenter) consisting of peptone, glucose, sodium chloride, cysteine hydrochloride and yeast extract was prepared by fermenter and inoculated by Clostridium chauvoei strain for preparation of blackleg vaccine. Aluminum hydroxide gel adjuvant was added to the high yield vaccine. The vaccine was also CONCENTRATED by the method of precipitation. None of tested animals showed any local or general adverse reactions. All of vaccinated guinea pigs resisted the challenge with 4 MLD of viRULEnt C. chauvoei.

Abstract:

Six-phase motors are becoming more popular because of their advantages such as lower torque ripple, better power distribution per phase, higher efficiency, and fault-tolerant capability compared to the three-phase ones. This paper presents the fault-tolerant capability analysis of a symmetrical six-phase induction motor equipped with distributed, conventional CONCENTRATED, and pseudo-CONCENTRATED windings under open-circuit fault scenarios. For further investigation, different load types such as constant-speed, constant-torque, and constant-power are applied to the motor. Two concepts of magnetic and physical phase separations are introduced as factors affecting the motor reliability. Analytically, these factors give an insight into how the pseudo-CONCENTRATED winding could be a fault-tolerant alternative. Moreover, five parameters such as the change of output power, power loss, power factor, efficiency, and expected load loss are considered as the fault-tolerant capability parameters to evaluate the windings reliability. The aforementioned parameters are reported using the finite element analysis for different fault scenarios and different load types. Although the baseline motor dimensions are not optimized for applying the pseudo-CONCENTRATED winding, the pseudo-CONCENTRATED shows a promising performance with high fault-tolerant capability.

Abstract:

A new outlook on a preparative process of superabsorbing hydrogels is presented in this article. The hydrogels based on acrylic acid (AA), acrylamide (AM) and potassium acrylate (KA) were prepared through polymerization of CONCENTRATED solution of the acrylic monomers. Ammonium persulphate/sodium metabisulphite redox pair initiating system was used for the free radical terpolymerization and methylenebisacrylamide was used as a cross-linker. Some certain process variables (cross-linker and initiator concentration) affecting either swelling capacity or swelling rate were thoroughly investigated. Temperature variations of the polymerization mixture were also studied. The synthetic method was found to be an efficient and facile approach for making superabsorbents with quantitative yield under atmospheric conditions. Meanwhile, by swelling measurements in both water and saline media, power law relationships between cross-linker content and swelling capacity were found.

Abstract:

The scattered stories, due to the way they are put together in The Shahnameh, show a thoughtful and systematic pattern and tell more than what they have in their appearance. According to the tradition of The Shahnameh research, the book is divided into the following sections: mythical, heroic, and historical. Although clear lines do not indicate this classification, the interval and overlapping sections should not be overlooked, because transition from section to section is not possible without the requisite preparation and introduction of the author’s knowledge. It is the writer’s belief that the Goshtasp Era in The Shahnameh is the transition of the National Epic from Myth to the historical period of the Sassanids.

Abstract:

As a result of RULE of law ideal, judges are required to act in accordance with laws. The ideal is justified by some political values: political liberty, legal liberty, personal liberty and equality. Citizens are subject only to the law not to the arbitrary will or judgment of another who wields coercive government power. But in some cases law is indeterminate. In these cases there is an important question: how can the law command when the law books are silent or unclear or ambiguous? There are three theory in jurisprudence: legal positivism, legal pragmatism and legal interpretivism. I reject positivism and pragmatism and urge interpretivism. I believe that it provides a better account of our law.

Abstract:

Background: Caustic substance ingestion is known for causing a wide array of gastrointestinal and systemic complications. In Russia, ingestion of acetic acid is a major problem which annually affects 11.2 per 100,000 individuals. The objective of this study was to report and analyze main complications and outcomes of patients with 70% CONCENTRATED acetic acid poisoning. Methods: This was a retrospective study of patients with acetic acid ingestion who were treated at Sverdlovsk Regional Poisoning Treatment Center during 2006 to 2012. GI mucosal injury of each patient was assessed with endoscopy according to Zargar's scale. Data analysis was performed to analyze the predictors of stricture formation and mortality. Results: A total of 400 patients with median age of 47 yr were included. GI injury grade I was found in 66 cases (16.5%), IIa in 117 (29.3%), IIb in 120 (30%), IIIa in 27 (16.7%) and IIIb in 70 (17.5%).11% of patients developed strictures and overall mortality rate was 21%. Main complications were hemolysis (55%), renal injury (35%), pneumonia (27%) and bleeding during the first 3 days (27%). Predictors of mortality were age 60 to 79 years, grade IIIa and IIIb of GI injury, pneumonia, stages “I”, “F” and “L” of kidney damage according to the RIFLE scale and administration of prednisolone. Predictors of stricture formation were ingestion of over 100 mL of acetic acid and grade IIb and IIIa of GI injury. Conclusion: Highly CONCENTRATED acetic acid is still frequently ingested in Russia with a high mortality rate. Patients with higher grades of GI injury, pneumonia, renal injury and higher amount of acid ingested should be more carefully monitored as they are more susceptible to develop fatal consequences.

Abstract:

IN THIS STUDY FOUR SETS OF CRUDE OIL FROM AHVAZ FIELD WERE EXAMINED. SAMPLES OF W/O EMULSIONS WITH DIFFERENT VOLUME FRACTION OF DISPERSED PHASE WERE PREPARED AND VISCOSITY OF THESE EMULSIONS WERE INVESTIGATED AT DIFFERENT SHEAR RATES. EXPERIMENTAL DATA EXHIBIT BEST FIT WITH RICHARDSON EQUATION AT CONSTANT SHEAR RATES. IN THIS STUDY RICHARDSON EQUATION IS EXTENDED TO PREDICT THE NON- NEWTONIAN BEHAVIOUR OF EMULSIONS. APPARENT VISCOSITY OF EMULSION IS CONSIDERED AS A FUNCTION OF SHEAR RATE AND VOLUME FRACTION OF DISPERSED PHASE. THE MODEL IS VALIDATED WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA AND RESULTS SHOW THAT EXPERIMENTAL DATA EXHIBIT EXCELLENT FIT WITH PROPOSED MODEL IN COMPARISON WITH IMPROVED PAL AND RHODES MODEL (2006) DEVELOPED FOR NON- NEWTONIAN EMULSIONS.

Abstract:

Type and level of starter cultures are tow important factors influence the quality of CONCENTRATED yoghurt. The effects of type (CH1 and YC-380) and level (2,4 and 6%) of starter cultures on the sensory properties of CONCENTRATED yoghurt that produced by concentration of milk using a vacuum evaporator to 2 levels of total solids were studied. Results showed that the flavour and texture scores of samples that were prepared with YC-380 were significantly higher than those were prepared with CH1. Increasing the level of CH1 to 4% improved the acceptability of all samples but had no significant effect in the samples with higher levels.
